Midnapore Institute of Education offers two comprehensive, professional teacher training courses: a 2-Year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program for secondary school teaching pathways, and a 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) program designed for primary teacher training. Both programs are full-time and highly recognized for academic rigor.

Yes, Midnapore Institute of Education (MIE) is fully recognized and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The B.Ed. program is affiliated with Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU / formerly WBUTTEPA), and the D.El.Ed. program is affiliated with the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE).

For the B.Ed. program, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their Bachelor's or Master's degree (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD). For the D.El.Ed. program, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) as per state board mandates.
