Curriculum Overview
The B.Ed. program at MIE follows the curriculum prescribed by Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU), formerly WBUTTEPA, in compliance with the NCTE Regulations 2014. The program spans 4 semesters across 2 academic years, combining theory, practicum, and a structured school internship for a total of 2000 marks.

Students choose one optional course from the following:
- Health and Physical Education
- Peace Education and Value Education
- Guidance and Counselling
- Environmental and Population Education
- Work and Vocational Education
School Internship (Semester III)
The 16-week school internship is the cornerstone of the B.Ed. program. Student-teachers are placed in partnered secondary schools where they:
- Deliver supervised lessons in their method subjects
- Engage with students, parents, and school administration
- Observe and reflect on diverse teaching practices
- Conduct community-based and co-curricular activities
- Maintain a portfolio and reflective journal
