Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is the most sought-after course in the 2023 academic year for a couple of reasons. Currently, the duration of the course is 2 years, but soon, the duration would be extended to 4 years as NCTE is preparing to convert the current curriculum into a 4-year integrated program. Therefore, this year might be the last chance to complete the B.Ed course within 2 years.
Another reason is seat availability; with 55,000 seats available in the state, 85 percent of which are reserved for Haryana resident students only. With only 15 percent of seats offered to students from the rest of India, there will be tough competition to secure a seat in a good college. Approximately 8,000 out-of-state students can get admission. Since Haryana universities offer this course through counseling-based enrollment processes, the course will be in high demand undoubtedly.
