About the D.El.Ed. Program
Building reflective, innovative, and inclusive educators for modern India.
What is the D.El.Ed. Program?
The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) is a two-year professional diploma program regulated by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) in West Bengal. At Midnapore Institute of Education (MIE), we implement the D.El.Ed. curriculum with a focus on experiential learning, school internship, and the development of 21st-century teaching competencies. Our program is designed not merely to create teachers, but to develop reflective practitionerswho understand the complex dynamics of child development, diverse learning needs, and the evolving Indian educational landscape.
