Admissions 2025–27

Admission Process

A step-by-step guide to securing your D.El.Ed. seat at Midnapore Institute of Education through WBBPE centralised admission.

How Admissions Work

Admissions to the D.El.Ed. programme at MIE are conducted exclusively through the centralised online admission process managed by WBBPE (West Bengal Board of Primary Education). All seats are filled as per merit based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination.

01

Online Application on WBBPE Portal

Candidates must submit their application online through the official WBBPE portal when the notification for D.El.Ed. admission is published.

  • Visit the official WBBPE admission portal (wbbpe.org)
  • Register and fill in academic details (10+2 marks)
  • Upload required documents and photograph
  • Select Midnapore Institute of Education as your preferred institute
  • Pay the application fee online
02

Publication of Merit List

WBBPE publishes a state-wide merit list based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination.

  • Merit lists are prepared category-wise (UR / SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B / PwD)
  • Check your merit position on the official portal
  • If discrepancies are found, follow the board's rectification process
03

Seat Allotment / Admission Notification

Based on the merit list and preferences, the Board allots seats or allows institutes to admit students from the merit list.

  • Check allotment status on WBBPE portal
  • Download the official allotment letter or admission intimation
04
