Category-wise and subject-wise seat distribution for B.Ed. 2025–27 as per NCTE approval and West Bengal reservation policy.
Total Sanctioned Intake
Midnapore Institute of Education is approved by NCTE (Eastern Regional Committee)for an annual intake of 60 students in the B.Ed. programme. Seat allocation follows the reservation policy mandated by the Government of West Bengal for state-level teacher education institutions.
Category-wise Seat Distribution
Reservation norms follow the West Bengal Government circular applicable to teacher education institutions. Horizontal reservations (PwD, Ex-Servicemen) are applicable across all vertical categories.
Reservation Policy Notes
- Reserved category seats not filled by eligible reserved candidates will be converted to UR seats after counselling rounds, as per BSAEU/state norms.
- PwD (2%) and Ex-Serviceman (3%) reservations are horizontal — i.e., candidates are adjusted within their own vertical category.
- OBC-A and OBC-B certificates must be issued by the competent authority in West Bengal.
- NRI / Management quota seats are not applicable — all seats are filled through BSAEU centralised counselling only.
